Course Outline
This course will discuss verses 35-49 and 54-57 of Sura Yusuf which narrates the story of Nabi Yusuf in prison and his interpretation of dreams. Students will read
and reflect upon the verses, and connect them to present day situations they may face.
The main objectives of the course are to help students:
- become familiar with the story of Nabi Yusuf from the Quran.
- learn about faith and trust in God
- understand the importance of self-identity, promoting God consciousness, and doing good to others.
Each session will include a reading of verses in Arabic and English, an explanation, and its commentary. Cross reference to other verses of the Quran on the same theme may also be explored.
