Merits of reciting the Sūrah
Whoever recites Sūrat Luqmān, Luqman will be his companion on the Day of Judgment. The Holy Prophet a.
Note: Quranic Scholars say that the reward is connected to the contents of the Sūrah and requires that recitation be done with awareness, comprehension, reflection and having an intention of implementation.
General synopsis of contents
1) The Quran as a guidance for certain people, while others turn away from it (vv. 2 -7)

1) 31:12 – Certainly We gave Luqman wisdom, saying, ‘Give thanks to Allah; and whoever gives thanks, gives thanks only for his own sake. And whoever is ungrateful, then surely Allah is Self-sufficient, Praised.
2) 31:22 – Whoever surrenders his heart to Allah and is virtuous, has certainly held fast to the firmest handle, and with Allah lies the outcome of all matters.
